Modeling a Bucket with a Handle and Vase

This is the final outcome of My Bucket.

In order to create a bucket like shown above, these are the processes done.

I created an outline with the bucket picture given in OLIVE. After marking the points using CV Curve tool, I changed the points into object mode and rotated the outline and made it look like as if it is standing on the grid. Only then, I was able to revolve the bucket. I also added in colour onto the bucket.

Secondly, I created a hole to insert a buckle on both ends of the bucket in order for the handle to cling on.
Before making the buckle, I extruded both of the bucket and placed a basic cylinder shape in between the 'extruded sides'. 'Boolean > Difference' to cut the cylinder shape.

I also created a bucket for the handle, I followed the steps that I learned during the process of developing the bucket. By marking points and revolving it. Only mark points of 1/2 the whole buckle. I added in 'yellow' to the buckles.

Finally, I added the handle. I had to mark points according to the shape of the bucket in order to get the correct diameter when handle is placed onto the buckle and also the front view of the handle. Made some adjustments with the size of the handle and put everything together. The handle onto the buckle.

My Reflection when developing the Bucket:
As for this particular object, I find that it is a little hard to understand the instruction given but I managed read it a few times and get the procedure. I had some difficulties when I wanted to merge the buckle and handle together. It took me quite some time to finish it.
I didn't give up and I'm satisfied with my work, my effort. I learned how to create objects without using basic shapes, just with CV Curve Tool and also revolve and I can get the product done. I also had fun choosing the colours before putting in the actually colours of the bucket.

This is the final outcome of my Vase.

The steps done:

As for the vase, there are no guide given, like the outline of the bucket, but instead, we have to look at the image provided in the document and develop one on our own.

Firstly, I use the CV Curve Tool. At first, I tried setting the Curve degree to 3 Cubic but I find it hard to set the point in the correct positions so I set it to 1 Linear so that I am able to mark the points where I want it to be.

When I'm satisfied with the points, I changed it to object mode and rotate it to make it stand on the grid.

I change the Status Line to Surfaces and revolve the outline. But before that, I need to chance some things in the option box. All steps were used in the instructions given to revolve the bucket.

TaaDaa ~ The vase has been created ! Now, I just have to add colour on my vase so I clicked on the object and assign new material > Lambert. YELLOW ! :)

My Reflection when developing the Vase:
After learning how to make the bucket, I find that the process of creating the vase is easier. The instructions given to develop the bucket was quite long but it is actually repeated steps and when I understand the steps, I am able to do it without looking at the instructions.
